Official guild war rules and guidelines as posted by Dakkon in fiesta forum bijous guild hall

Please note that the RULES are to be followed and breaking them can result in ban/guild delete.

The guidelines are just there to keep things nice and fun for everyone. Not folowing them will NOT result in ban or guild delete UNLESS under extreme cicumstances.

This thread is posted in response to the amount of Guild War harassment issues we have been receiving.

First however are some facts about guilds.

1. When a guild is first created, there is an option, in the form of a small box that gives the option of being a non warring guild. Please note that if a player makes or is a member of a non warring guild you will be unable to participate in the GM Guild War event.

2. ANY player that joins a warring guild accepts certain risks by being a member of that guild. The most obvious of these is being warred when you are not wanting to pvp.

Now the rules of guild warring:

1. Guild wars are never to be used as a means of coercion. What this means is NEVER threaten to guild war a player if they refuse to do something you want. This is a form of harassment and doing so will risk action against the individual, the guild admins, and in severe cases deletion of the guild

2. Guild wars are never to be used as a means of revenge. It doesn’t matter how much a player may have offended you, or how much you may not like them. This is one reason why we have a block feature.

3. Chain warring (continuously warring a guild whenever possible) is prohibited. Unless agreed upon by both guilds. So threatening or actively warring a guild repeatedly is not allowed unless both guilds say it is okay.

4. Guild wars are never to be used to kick a player out of an area, or to ruin a players good time.

The key with most of these rules is intent. If the intent of any war is to break any of these rules, action WILL be taken. Please realize some of these rules may appear to be broken during the course of an average guild war, so take the circumstances into account before reporting it.

Guidelines

These are just some guidelines to try and follow for a fair and enjoyable guild war experience. These guidelines are optional, and do not constitute a violation of the rules except under extreme circumstances.

1. Don’t spawn kill: Try to give a warring player a chance to recover and prepare before attacking them. This will help promote good relations even between rival guilds.

2. Don’t shop kill: If a player is in a shop try not to kill them. The point of pvp is to test your skill against fellow players in combat. Not against a player who can’t fight back.

3. Try to keep the guild wars in town: While certainly not always possible, trying to keep a guild war in town will allow those players who do not want to participate in the war from having to get involved.

4. Give warred players a chance to withdraw if they ask for it: Some player may just want to leave. If a player asks to be left alone to go level or quest please try to be courteous and allow them to withdraw from the field
I hope this clarifies once and for all the rules and guidelines for the guild wars. I will be making changes to this document as new situations arise.
